Liza, Sau Yin and Ray
Ray is Liza and Sau Yin's son.
5 years ago, Sau Yin disappeared during his mission. Everyone thinks that he's died, but as his body wasn't found, Liza n Ray still hope that he's still alive and could find him back one day.
Ray wanted to become a police like his father, but Liza didn't want. She said it's dangerous, and she didn't want her son to end like his father. But he hid Liza to go to the training.

Mr Chen Gong and Leila Chan
Leila is Gong's god daughter. He adopted her since she was 5 year old.
Gong is Sau Yin's good friend. And they loved the same woman.
Unfortunately for Sao Gong, Liza married Sau Yin.

Tavia, Sammul, Mr and Mrs Chan
Tavia and Sammul are sister and brother.

Episode 1

At about 20:30, a body of a man is found in the forest. The police precipitated to come. They enclosed the place to forbid the journalists and people that have no task to get in.
Among the police, there are Kevin, Kenneth, etc...
The corpse was investigated. And Gong (Sek) arrived.
Kevin and Kenneth approached him and: “Mr Chen!”
Gong approached the corpse and asked for the identity of the dead man.
Kevin replied that his identity is not known yet, his identity card was not found on the body. And his face’s destructed.
Liza, who’s examining the body, took off her mask, and turned to him and said that the man was dead a tough thing knocked his head. And his face and his front body were seriously injured; he might fell on a mirror or glass. The forest is not the crime place. She need to examine more to find out more evidences.
The Corpse was brought to the ambulance in order to transport to the laboratory.
While walking to the car, Liza lost her balance, she almost fall down, but Gong caught her up and helped her to find back her balance.
Gong: “Are you ok?”
Liza: “I am alright. Thanks. Just my head turns. It’s probably because of the hunger.”
Gong: “Don’t force yourself so much. Better think about your health!”
Liza: “I am fine.”

Half hour later, in the lab:
Sammul helped Liza to glove and to give her materials. Gong and Kevin were beside.
Liza: “His head is hit by a solid thing. His bones are broken. He must have fallen from a high place. And seeing his injuries on the face and the body, he must be fallen on glass. He died because of losing to much blood.
The place of crime must be in a house. The corpse is started rotting. He must be died since yesterday.”
Then Liza noticed that there’s something in his hand. She tried to open his hand hardly, and she found a piece of silk cloth. She took it with a claw and put in a sack transparent held by Sammul.

Few minutes later, outside:
Gong, in the car, honked to call Liza. He offered her a ride. As he knew that she’s hungry, he brought her then to a restaurant.
Liza used to go there with Sau Yin. So she feels sad to get in there. Gong knew that she’s thinking of Sau Yin, so he tried to comfort her.
Gong: “yin's been gone for 5 yrs now. But you still can’t forget him.”
Liza: “before, I told myself that he was just swept away by the water and he had arrived somewhere not knowing how to get back home, but it’s been 5 years now, I don’t know what to think”
She let out a big sigh and tears were falling. Gong gave her a tissue and posed his hand on her to console her. Then she continued
Liza: “Ok, the noodle here is delicious. Have you tried it before?”
Gong: “yes. It’s their speciality. How can’t I miss it?”
Then they laughed, and the waiter came. They asked for 2 of the chef's specials.
They smiled at each other and Liza continued to talk.
Liza: “When I first came here, it’s just a small restaurant with few tables. There weren’t that many dishes. There was only the noodle.”
Then the dishes are served. They ate happily. And about finishing the meal, Liza received a call from her sister.
Liza: “Ah lo... Ahh?

liza rushed to the receptionist desk at the hospital to ask where her son was. Gong spotted anxious Rebecca waiting in front of the operation room. Liza rushed over and asked her where’s Ray. What happened to him?
Rebecca: “My dog, Toby…”
Liza: “What? Toby attacked him?”
Rebecca: “umm… my neighbor’s dog…”
Liza: “err... So, Toby or your neighbor’s dog?
Rebecca: “… both…”
Liza: “Eh?”
After the doctor finished the operation, the nurse opened the curtain and Liza saw a body covered by a white blanket. Liza, who can't believe her eyes, covered her mouth with her hand in shock, approached the body slowly; her tears streaming down: “Ah Fung!”
Then a familiar voice came from behind "I'm here, Mom!"
Liza turned back and saw Ray
Liza: "Ah Fung! You are ok! You had me worried!"
Ray: "it's alright, just a small injury. Nothing serious"
Rebecca: "yeah, it was just minor injury. Stop over-reacting!"
Liza: (turning to Rebecca) So! What all this got to do with Toby
Rebecca: Well! I took Toby out for a walk and bumped into my neighbor with her dog. Her dog started to growl at Toby and you know Toby doesn’t like being bullied
Liza, Ray and Gong all looked at each other with a puzzled looked
Rebecca continued: “Both dogs refused to move and just started to bark and growl at each other. I didn’t know what to do, and just at this point of time, Ah Fung appeared and tried to separate them but the 2 dogs were already at war… and… well… Ah Fung just got caught in the middle.”
Rebecca turned to Ray and apologized for the accident
Ray: “it's ok, nothing I can’t handle!”
Rebecca: "yeah well you are my nephew after all. I don’t want anything to happen to you. Otherwise, your mother would hate me! But once again, your mother blamed me for your accident. Tell you what, I know u haven’t had your dinner yet, we will go home and I’ll make you some soup."
Rebecca: "wait, I need to go fetch Toby from the vet first I'll make my own way up to yours."
Gong: "why don’t I give u all a lift home since I have my car outside?"
Liza: "No, I wouldn’t want to cause you any trouble. We can get a taxi back.”
Gong: "That’s ok, it'll be my pleasure and I can try Rebecca's soup! Hehe."
Rebecca: "yeah ok. Sister, since your cars in the garage, getting repaired, Mr. Chen can save us our taxi’s fare.”
Liza looked at her.

At Liza’s flat: Liza, Rebecca, Ray, Toby, and the maid
Ray asked their maid what is there to eat while waiting for Rebecca’s soup.
Rebecca let Toby get on the sofa and addressed to Liza:
“Why didn’t you invite gong up?”
Liza: “don’t you think we've bothered him enough? Besides I wouldn’t want him to get poisoned with your soup!"
Rebecca: "huh! What you are trying to say? My cooking’s bad. You haven’t even tried it before. Let me show you what I can do."
Liza: “Not today! I am stuffed! I had dinner with Gong earlier”.
Rebecca: "oh! That’s why. Is that the reason why u two arrived at the hospital together then? (Giving Liza a wink)
Liza: “I don’t know what you are talking about. Ah Fung is waiting for your soup.”
Rebecca: “It’s too late now. I will do another day.”
Liza laughed.

Episode 2

Kenneth told Kevin that a woman was here to recognise the corpse… Kevin led her to the mortuary for her to identify the dead man.
Upon seeing the corpse, Mrs. Jiang broke down in tears… Kevin asked her if she was positive it was her husband
Mrs Jiang: “My husband has a tattoo on the right side of his shoulder exactly the same as the corpse.”
Kenneth then told Kevin that Mrs Jiang had reported her husband missing a few days ago

Few minutes later, in the investigation room:
Kevin asked Mrs Jiang and Kenneth took the note.
Kevin: “When did u see your husband for the last time?”
Mrs Jiang: “the day before yesterday, about 4 pm, before I went to the province to see my mother.”
Kevin: “Do u know if he has any enemies?”
Mrs Jiang: “No. But his business has not been doing well and he has a lot of debts.”
Kevin: “Do you know who his creditors are?”
Mrs Jiang: “I don’t know.” And she continued crying.
Kevin and Kenneth looked at each other.
Kevin: “Mrs Jiang, we would like to take a look in your house"

Mrs Jiang agreed

Mrs Jiang led the police to visit her house. When Mrs Jiang was busy observing other polices, Kevin and Kenneth went to the room and collect the hair from the comb and important things used by the Mr Jiang. They didn’t find anything special in the house.

Later, in Mr Chen’s office: Kevin reported the situation to Gong.
Kevin: “his wife was the last person to see him before his death, but she wasn’t in HK when the crime’s happen. And there’s nothing special in their house. It doesn’t look like a place which the crime was taken.”
Gong listened to him seriously. Then Kevin continued: “Among his creditors, all have evidences to not being at the crime scene, but one. He’s an engineer. He was last seen 2 days ago also. His wife said that, 2 days ago, he went to request the money back from a client. And he never came back.”

In the lab:
Liza examined the hair. She looked questioning. Kevin asked her then if there’s any problem.
Liza: “It’s strange. The hair belongs to two different people but none is the dead person’s.”
Kevin looked at her, and questioned himself.
Liza: “I need to go to see the house.”

Jiangs’ house:
Liza observed carefully the house. Upstairs, Kenneth and Kevin viewed the photos and stole few (haha, specialist of stealing).
Liza looked at the sofa and saw something shined under. She approached and took it with a pincers. It’s a piece of glass. Liza turned to Gong. Gong looked at her as well.
Mrs Jiang looks surprise to see it there.
Liza put the glass in a small transparent bag. Liza raised her head and looked up to the upstairs. She saw Kenneth and Kevin walking around.

Later, in the police station: Liza, Mr Chen and Kevin
Liza: “I think Jiang's house might be a crime scene as we found a piece of glass but surprisingly the glass table is not damaged.”
Kevin: “Mr Jiang fell down on the table. The table’s broken.”
Mr Chen: “The murderer must have just bought a new one to replace it… We should investigate nearby the glass supplier.”
Kevin: “Yes, sir… And … This is the photo of Mrs Jiang that I took from there.”
Mr Chen: “Is there anything interesting?”
Liza: “The fabric of her shirt is like the tissue found in the hand of the body.”
Kevin: “exactly!”
Liza: “But it’s just a photo. We can’t confirm.”
Mr Chen: “Issue a warrant to search her house again!”
Kevin: “yes, sir.”

Kevin led the police to search Mrs Jiang’s house, but they found nothing.
Back to the office, Kevin reported to Mr Chen that he can’t find the shirt. And he added: “But if Mrs Jiang is the suspect, how can she bring the body to the forest then reached her mom’s house at that short time?”
Gong: “She might have helper.”
Kevin: “But their maid said that when Mrs Jiang left the house, Mr Jiang was still there.”
Then both people stayed quiet and thought.

Liza came back home. She took the letter from the box and saw a letter destined to Ray. It’s from state police school. She went up asked her maid if Ray’s back yet. Then she heard Lucky’s barking from Ray’s room. Ray was wearing the police outfit to show Rebecca and Lucky. Rebecca praised him for being handsome with the outfit.
Liza went nearby and knocked the door: “Ah Fung?”
Hearing his mother’s voice, he rushed to change his cloth. Rebecca opened the door for her sister. Lucky was happy to see Liza.
Liza (to Rebecca): “Why need that long to open? And what are you doing here?”
Rebecca: “Lucky misses your son.”
Liza smiled, and then addressed Ray.
Liza: “Tell me, you! Why u got a letter from state police school?”
Ray and Rebecca looked at each other.
Ray: “Err…”
Lucky took the police cap hidden to play. Liza saw it, and approached Lucky. Ray rushed to take it from Lucky before Liza.
Liza: “What does it mean?”
Rebecca: “well, you will find out sooner. No point in hiding it from u now. Your son has just passed a test to become a policeman. (Approaching Ray) See! How handsome he is. He matches the police’s outfit intern.
Liza (to Ray): You know well. I don’t want you to do this job. (To Rebecca) And you too, you knew it, why you didn’t tell me?”
Ray: “I am sorry mom. But I really want this job.”
Rebecca (to Liza): “You should be proud of your son.”
Liza looked at her firmly.

The next day, Liza went to the police station.
The police greeted her: “Dr Lam.”
Liza looked really serious and looked for Gong. A police called Gong to tell him about Liza’s presence, but Liza’s already in Gong’s office.
Gong’s happy to see Liza: “Liza!” But Liza showed him a bad temper.

Episode 3

Liza started scolding Gong. She blamed him for helping Ray go to the state police school and for hiding it from her for all this time. Ray’s supposing to be studying Law. Gong had nothing to say, so he just stayed quiet and listened to her telling him off
The others in the office were surprised to see Liza acting in such a way.
Later, in the canteen, people talked about Gong being scolded by Liza and just as Gong appeared, they all stopped talking.
While getting the food, Gong saw Liza having lunch on her own. He approached her and asked if he could take a seat. Liza said coldly that that chair and table didn’t belong to her (hehe). Firstly Gong apologized to Liza about the whole Ray thing. He recognized his wrong but he wanted Liza to understand why he did that. He knew he was wrong to hide it from her but he promised Ray that he wouldn’t let her know before he graduated. He understood what Ray wanted to do. And if Sau Yin (Danny was still there he would be pleased to see his son follow in his footsteps. Being a police officer isn't that bad. He warranted Liza for his security and Ray will be under his supervision.
Liza looked at him and said "being a mother of someone, I just want what’s best for him. I don't even know what my son's been doing. All this time I thought he was studying law but he's been training as a police officer!"
Gong looked at her and posed his hand on hers to comfort her. He comforted Liza that Ray will be under his control and he guaranteed his safety.

Later, when Liza got home, Rebecca said loudly: “Sister! You are back? How is your day?” Ray’s in the kitchen making tea for Liza.
Liza: “I am tired, going to go have a bath first.”
Rebecca: “Wait!!”
Then Ray appeared from the Kitchen with a cup of tea. Rebecca led Liza to the sofa and told her to sit. Liza looked really serious. Ray gave her the tea as a sign of apology. He knew hiding the truth from his mother was wrong and he said that if she didn’t want him to be a police officer he would leave it. He didn’t want his mother to be mad at him.” (hihi)
Liza: “Don’t be stupid! You have been training for years and have come this far, why give up now?”
Ray and Rebecca looked at each other and wondered.
Ray: “What do you mean?”
Liza: “Promise me to be a good policeman!”
Ray looked at his aunt who’s also smiling and said: “Of course, I will.” And he rushed to hug his mother and thanked her.
Liza: “that’s not all. You have to promise me that you will be careful and don’t do anything dangerous or stupid to make me worry about you”
Ray, crossing his mother’s finger: “Promise, Mom.”
Rebecca ran to hug her and said: “Sister! You are the best mother. I want to hug you too.”
Lucky barked and approached them. He wanted to join them too. (haha)

Few days later, outside the police station, Tavia helped an old lady to cross the street.
Arriving to the other side of the sidewalk, the lady thanked her. Tavia told her to be careful and she needed to get in the office right now.
The lady dropped a coin and Tavia helped her to pick it up. Suddenly, Ray arrived on his motorbike and was close to knocking her down, however ray braked just at the right time. Tavia scolded him and asked if he was blind!
Ray: “I am sorry. Are you ok?” Seeing she’s fine, so he added: “As you are fine, I need to go. I am in a hurry.” Then he went in the office.
Tavia: “Wai??? What sort of behaviour do you call this? Just you in a hurry and I am not?!!?

In the office:
A policeman (Michael) talked to Kenneth: “hey, there are 2 new staffs today.”
Another one (Joe): “I heard that one of them is Dr Lam’s son.”
Then Gong appeared with Ray. He introduced Ray to everyone in the office.
Tavia appeared in a hurry and she introduced herself to Gong: “Excuse me sir, I am Chan Hor Kei, first time present. I am sorry, I am late.”
Ray’s surprised to see her there: “You?”
Tavia: “You?”
Gong: “You know each other?” Ray: “No.” Tavia: “No, just seen outside.”
Gong (to the others): “From now Ray and Tavia are your colleagues. Be a good example to them!”
Kevin, Kenneth, Michael and the others welcome Ray and Tavia. All boys except Kevin and Ray flirted Tavia. Tavia became a star of the police station.
Later, the phone rang. Joe picked it up.
Joe: “… thanks you”
After he hung up the phone, everyone looked at him, and he addressed Kevin: “Sir! Someone saw Mrs Jiang went back home on the day of the crime at about 4:30 pm.
Everyone looked at each other.

Later, in the investigation room: Kenneth, Joe and the witness (Jiang’s neighbor)

The witness: “That day, at about 4:30 pm, I and my family were preparing to go on a trip. Suddenly, we saw Mrs Jiang driving back speedily. As it’s not our business, we didn’t try to find out what happened.”
Kenneth: “Could you see how her reaction was?”
The witness: “No, I couldn’t. We were in a hurry to be on time at the airport. We are just back yesterday night. We are really shocked when we learnt about Mr Jiang’s dead. So we do necessary to help the police to find out the truth.”
Kenneth: “What do you think about Mr and Mrs Jiang’s relation? Do they get get along?”
The witness: “They seem to be a loving couple.”
Kenneth: “Do u think it could have a 3rd person between them?”
The witness: “I don’t know. But I don’t think.” And he added “Jiangs are kind and helpful neighbor, especially Mrs Jiang.”
Ray observed them interrogating the witness from the outside. Kevin passed by and told him that it's not allowed to stay there.

Later, in Gong’s office: Gong, Kevin, and Kenneth
Kenneth: “According to what one of their neighbor said, they saw her going back home, 30 minutes later after she has left. It showed that she has lied to us.”
Kevin: “If she’s innocent. She doesn’t need to lie. We should issue a warrant to arrest her.”
Gong: “that’s right. But the way to go the forest and to her native village are two opposite directions. If she’s guilty, she can’t be alone to bring the body to the forest and got her hometown in that short time. She must have helper.”
Kenneth: “From the hair collected, there are 2 people used the comb, but none of hair belongs to the corpse…”
Then Gong received a call from Liza saying that she just found new evidence.

Episode 4

In the lab, Liza, Gong and Kevin
Liza: “I analyzed the tattoo of the corpse. The man got probably the tattoo after he died.”
Kevin: “Why the murderer needed to tattoo a corpse?” (He’s stupid, haha)
Liza: “The only reason is he wanted to fake the corpse’s identity. The DNA analysis of the hair collected showed that none of them is the dead man. One is Mrs Jiang, another one should be Mr Jiang.”
Kevin: “Alright, we didn’t think about this before. From the beginning, Mrs Jiang is the only person who said that the corpse is her husband. She’s then suspected.”
Gong: “If the corpse is not Mr Jiang, he’s also suspected. But if it’s not Mr Jiang, who can he be?”
Kevin: “Mr Tao (The engineer) is also missing. And he went to the crime place before missing. It’s possible it’s him.”
Gong: “Alright, but now we don’t have enough evidences, we risk to lose the important actor, make sure first that the corpse is really Mr Tao.”
Kevin: “Yes Sir.”

Later, in Gong’s office: Gong and Kevin
Kevin: “From the analysis, the corpse is really Mr Tao. We have verified with the customs, no one named Jiang ZZ (Mr Jiang) left the country. He must then still stay in HK. Mrs Jiang is still there, she has no particular action yet.”
Gong: “Tell her that we suspected that the body is not her husband. And let’s see her reaction. Then send people to observe her. We might be able to find Mr Jiang by that.”
Kevin: “yes sir!”

Kevin did what his superior told him to do. Then they followed Mrs Jiang to a place far away from the town. There were few cars following her. And one of them was led by Ray and Kenneth.
Mrs Jiang received a call then she realized that she’s followed, and she tried to sneak away and the police lost track of her.
The 4 tyres of Ray and Kenneth’s car were burst. Kenneth called help, and Ray turned around and saw the shadow of someone. Ray told Kenneth and he followed the person. Kenneth was busy telling the way to their rescuer while looking at Ray going up to follow the person.
Ray followed him to a house where he saw the car of Mrs Jiang.
Ray observed them from afar.
Mrs Jiang (to the guy): Where have you been? You know the police is anywhere around.
The man took off his cap and turn to Ray’s side. Ray could recognize that it was Mr Jiang.
Ray quickly took out his phone to call Kenneth. But Kenneth’s phone was busy. He then called Kevin.
After telling Kevin about the situation, Ray saw the couple going in the house. He approached then the house and looked in, but he couldn’t see anyone.
He went in the house and turned round and saw the guy running towards him with a metal stick, and with a quick reflex reaction, Ray had defended himself. It was Mr Jiang. They fought afterward with each other, and during this fiasco, Ray's gun dropped from his hand. They all struggled to grab the gun off the ground and eventually Ray managed to grab his gun back but something was thrown at his back and he collapsed. Mrs Jiang got scared and dropped the stick. Mr Jiang then quickly dragged her out. But they were arrested by the police.
Police station:
Jo and Kenneth interrogate Mrs Jiang and Kevin and Michael interrogate Mr Jiang.
In another hand, Mr Jiang admitted to have killed Mr Tao (the engineer) and his wife is innocent.
And Mrs Jiang admitted she’s the murderer and her husband is innocent. She added that the piece of the fabric that’s found in the body’s hand is from her cloth. She said that it’s her who pushed him. And while falling down he tried to hang on to her. But he could just catch her cloth and that part of her cloth got ripped, then he fell down.
The police didn’t believe that it’s her who pushed him down, because she is not strong enough to be able to push him.
Mr Jiang: “That day, at about 4 pm, my wife just left home, for her parent’s home town. Mr Tao came. He wanted me to pay him for the construction… My business didn’t run well. I couldn’t pay him.
I asked him to wait until next week, but he said he couldn’t wait. He wanted to take something in my house for interest. He wanted to take my favorite statue. I prevented him then to take it, then it fell down and broken. I was very mad, and then we got a fight. I am not as strong as he is, he strangled me and dragged me out to the passageway and pushed me against the banister. (Can u imagine the scene?)
He threatened me, if I didn’t pay him he would push me down. That time my wife arrived, she knocked his head with a vase. He turned then to my wife, he looked scary. I was afraid that he hurt my wife, so I pulled him back, and pushed him down.
My wife is innocent…”
Michael: “so, you made false evidences to make the police think that the dead is you, right?”
Mr Jiang: “I thought that, if I have a tattoo or not, only my wife can know. With my knowledge on it, I make a tattoo on the right side of his shoulder, and told my wife to recognise the body. As he’s just died I thought I could make a perfect one like on a living person, but I didn’t expect that u still find it out.

=======in the hospital=======
Sek and Joe arrived to hospital and saw Liza and Ray in the hall.
Liza (to Ray): “You had me worried again. I told you to not do any dangerous thing…”
Ray: “Mom! I am fine now, you don’t need to worry. I don’t even have to stay in the hospital.”
Sek (approaching them): “Hello. How are you doing?”
The nurse (to Ray): “Now you just need to go and fill out some forms then u can go.”
Sek: “I am glad that you are fine. Today you have done a good job for our police station. Thanks to you we can catch the culprit.”
Ray: “It’s my duty.”
Liza sighed
Sek (looking at Liza): Sorry!
Liza: “Anything wrong? Why do you need to apology me?”
Well, we will have a meal to honor their effort for solving the case. Would you care to join us?
Joe: “If it wasn't for Dr Wong's help we couldn’t have solved the case so Dr Wong has to take some credit.”
Ray: “Yeah mom! Then you can keep an eye on.”
Liza: “You still wanna go?”
Ray: “Sure, how can I miss it?” Then he took his mother’s shoulder. Liza hit his hand
Ray: “Aiii.” And they laughed

Episode 5

After the meal they went to the karaoke. Michael forced Liza to drink. Ray tried to defend his mother and wanted to drink on her behalf. However, Ray already drank too much; Liza didn't want him to gulp down another glass. Sek offered to finish it for Liza.
Kenneth, Joe and Michael teased Liza and Sek.
Kenneth: "A police and a forensic scientist are so made for each other."
Liza and Sek laughed and at this point, Tavia who was looking at the pair noticed Liza and Sek blushed. Sek tried to explain himself that he drank too much beer.
Ray frowned upon hearing that comment.
Tavia forced Liza to sing a song. It was “Key Sutt Sum Loy Yau Muet Yau Ngor”. Sek was forced to sing with her. No matter how many times he kept saying he couldn’t sing; Joe, Michael, Tavia and the others forced him to sing. After that song Ray wanted his mother to sing “Princess Chang Ping” with him, but Liza feels tired and wanted to go home. Ray didn't want to leave so early so Sek offered to take Liza back home.
Arriving home, Liza invited Sek to go up to drink tea.
In the lift Liza saw a cockroach. Yelling out, she jumped and hung onto Sek, and hugged him. Sek was stunned and didn’t know what to do.
Simultaneously, the door of the lift opened, and Rebecca was at the door waiting for the lift.
Rebecca was surprise to see the incident.
Seeing her sister, Liza left Sek’s neck and said “Do not misunderstand us”
Rebecca: “I understand. Ok, I am going back home (she went in the lift while Liza n Sek going out), do not want to disturb you… Anyway I did some desert for you and Ray. You 2 can taste it.”
Liza wanted to call her sister but the door closed, and the lift went down.
Liza and Sek looked at each other then avoided each other’s regard by embarrassment.
Seeing Liza embarrassing, Sek refused to get in and preferred to come another time to drink tea.
Liza greeted him and thanked him for offering her a ride to come back home.
In the lift, Sek smiled and remembered when Liza hugged him.
Liza went in the house; she looked embarrassing but she smiled a while later.

Next morning:
Liza and Ray were taking breakfast.
Rebecca arrived and came to take breakfast with them. Liza asked Lulu (her maid) to bring one for set for Rebecca.
Rebecca asked Liza how was last night. Liza wondered what she was talking about.
Rebecca: “you and Mr Chen ah?”
Ray was wondering.
Liza said that it was just a misunderstanding. There’s nothing between them.
Rebecca: “How can it be a misunderstanding? I saw u hugging him in the lift.”
Ray: “Is it true?”
Liza: “It’s a misunderstanding. There was a cockroach in the lift.”
Rebecca: “Don’t try to blame the cockroach. See! You are all red.”
Liza: “Don’t want to talk to you. I need to get ready for work.”
Liza left the table and headed to her room.
Rebecca laughed. But she stopped by Ray’s mood.
Rebecca: “What’s the matter Ray? You don’t want your mom to remarry?”
Ray: “Actually, we never found dad’s body.”
Rebecca: “I don’t want to disappoint you, but 5 years already. Wherever he is, he should be able to find the way back home.”
Ray’s disappointed.
Liza came out
Liza: “I am ready…”
Ray: “Mom! Can you give me a ride to go to the office?”
Rebecca: “What happen to your motorbike?”
Ray: “Nothing. I just want to go with mom.”
Liza: “Ok, la.”
In the car: Liza and Ray
Liza: “Is there anything you want to talk to me?”
Ray: “Aunty said…”
Liza: “You are still wondering about what she said. I already said; it’s just a misunderstanding. There’s nothing between me and Mr Chen.”
Ray: “Did you ever notice he cherishes you?”
Liza: “And then?”
Ray: “5 years already, we still can’t find any trail to show he’s still alive.”
Liza (looking at him): “Why you suddenly talked about this?”
Ray: “Aunty is right. I shouldn’t be selfish. I have no reason to oppose you to start a new life with someone else.”
Liza parked the car, and talked to him: “Why are you still worrying about that? Do not listen to your aunt. You know her well, she always talks non-sense. There’s nothing between me and Mr Chen.”
Ray: “Mr Chen is a good man. Aunty used to tell me about how faithful he is to you. I think he could give you a happy life.”
Liza, surprising: “Are you pushing your mom to remarry?”
Ray: “I just want to let you know that you don’t need to worry about me.”
Liza shook her head and smiled.

Liza arrived to her office, and noticed a new intern, Leila. She was surrounded by her colleagues. Most of them are men.
Sammul noticed Liza arriving: “Dr. Wong!”
Everyone: “Dr. Wong!”
Leila: “Dr. Wong! I am new here. Hope I could learn from you.”
Liza: “I heard there’s a new intern who comes today. It must be you. Work well!”
And she goes.
In Liza’s office, someone knocked the door.
Liza: “Come in!”
A woman brought her a bunch of flowers: “Dr. Wong! Someone sent it to you.”
Liza: “Ohh thanks.” She tried to see whom the bunch was from, but there’s no name on the bunch.
Then she received a call from Sek asking her if she received the flowers. She knew then it’s from Sek. He asked her if she’s free for dinner. Liza accepted the offer.
Sek invited Liza to a well known restaurant.
After the dinner, a waiter brought them a birthday cake. Liza asked him if it was his birthday. He nodded his head.
Liza: “I am sorry; I didn’t bring anything for your birthday.”
Sek: “That’s ok. I just want to pass my birthday with you.”
Sek made a wish quietly and blew on the candles.
He asked Liza if she knew what he wished. Liza didn’t know. He told her then that he wished that she could give him a chance. Liza didn’t know how to react.
Sek accompanied Liza back home.
In front of Liza’s house, Liza wished him again a happy birthday and wished all his wishes came true.
They gazed into each other eyes. At this point, Sek moved his head closer toward Liza and planned to kiss on her lips
